How do I print a barcode on each cut page of a job?

VerteLith has the ability to print a barcode together with the OPOS markers if you are using a SummaCut cutter. VerteLith generates the unique barcode of each cut page of the job. This barcode can then be used to identify the job and retrieve the needed cut data automatically from the computer.

The cutter will read the barcode and send this data to the computer. The cutting software will then automatically send the correct cutting data to the cutter. The cutter will start sensing the OPOS markers and cut out the job.

Step 1. Add a cut data job in the Hold queue of the print environment.
Step 2. Apply OPOS Barcode cut marks from Edit Job > Crop Marks > Crop Marks for Cut Devices.
Step 3. Click Submit for Print.
More info: After printing, the job will automatically move to the associated cut environment.
Step 4. Select the printed job from the associated cut environment Hold queue.
Step 5. Enable Output to File from Edit Job > General.
Step 6. Specify the output to file path.
Step 7. Cut the job.

More info: After cutting, the job will move to the printer queue based upon the setting of After Printing in Edit Job > General.

The generated cut file can be handled by the software for SummaCut. The software can receive a loaded barcode ID and send a corresponding cut file to the cutter. For details, refer to the manual of the SummaCut software.
