Set the input profile

Select an input profile for each job file according to the color space of the file (CMYK/RGB).

To use an input profile embedded in PDF, select Use Embedded ICC Profile (the default is Use Embedded ICC Profile).

If the input profile is not embedded in the job file (even if Use Embedded ICC profile is selected) or Use Embedded ICC Profile is deselected, VerteLith uses an input profile you selected for vector data and raster data individually.

By selecting an input profile used to create the job file, you can reproduce the colors close to the original colors of the file. Following examples are typical profiles used for commercial printing.

Examples of CMYK: Coated FOGRA 39, Coated GRACol 39, Japan Color 2001 Coated, and so on
Examples of RGB: sRGB2014, Adobe RGB (1998), and so on

The following input profiles are specifically designed for MUTOH printer, allowing you to print with a wider color gamut than the colors of typical commercial printing.

Mutoh CMYK

While keeping the colors close to the typical printing, this profile reproduces vibrant colors especially in the red region by maximizing the color characteristics of the ink. It is recommended for applications such as signage that vibrant color printing is required. (by default)

Mutoh CMYK Expanded

This profile enables you to reproduce a wider color gamut in the orange region mostly on a printer with the orange ink option. However, colors other than orange region of the print may change from the original colors because the profile also expands the color gamut in other region. Prior to print, you can check the soft proof of the job to see how the color changes.
If you want to confirm the colors of your original job file using graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, following procedure is recommended.

1) Right-click on Mutoh CMYK-Expandedd.icc (location: ProgramData > Mutoh > VerteLith > Profiles > Color > CMYK) and select Install Profile to make it available in Windows System.

2) Then, open the job file in Illustrator, select the installed input profile, and check the colors of the file in the preview. Once confirmed, close Illustrator without saving the file (For more details, see the user’s guide of your design software).

To change the color of your original file using a graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator,
