It’s been less than two weeks since my last email, yet it seems so much has happened in the world. I sincerely hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. I hadn’t planned to send another email so soon after the last one, but I’ve come across a time sensitive resource you might appreciate, so I decided to send the April email out a bit early. If you’re looking for ways to stay occupied and productive while physically isolating at home, Bluprint (formerly Craftsy) has made all of their courses free until April 9, 2020. There are some fantastic courses for craft business owners on Bluprint such as How to Teach it with the wonderful Gwen Bortner, and Product Photography at Home with Jessica Marquez. There are also hundreds of craft courses you can take to build your creative skills. I’m going to enrol in Hand Lettering for Lefties this week. I’ve been trying hand lettering but being left handed has posed some challenges for me, so I’m looking forward to this course. There’s lots here to keep you occupied and learning. You just need to create a Bluprint account to get full access. I’ve also updated the Emergency Management Resources for Craft Business Owners article with a lot more resources for artists and small business owners. You’ll find more links to organizations supporting artists, links to information about government supports for small businesses, more free online craft and business classes, including some of my favorites, and a few fun online arts events if you need a distraction from the stresses of the world.
